IP address change with BT router
 

I am trying to change my IP address. According to instructions I go to router's set up page by typing in 192.168.0.1. I did this but that's as far as I get. I have BT broadband with a BT home hub router. Can anyone help.

I think you have to turn it on and off to get a new ip

Make sure you keep track of the IP addresses!

I think you can just turn it on and off - no need to wait for minutes.

Also, if your actual router has a reset button, you can use that instead of turning it on or of.

And if my memory is still working, I think you can also reset from that 192.168.1.1 address.

So a few options for you - pick which one is easiest / fastest for you :)

Hey I have bt router too and need help as well :( :) I had IP address 81.153.49.163 and now I restarted router waited 3 minutes and tried ipburger again and I see here is a different IP address 86.133.230.122 ... Does it mean my IP address has been changed just because I have restarted only bt router????? Because I have read IP Address I will need to change Router’s MAC Address, and then reset my Broadband Modem to retrieve a new IP Address. But I did not do it .. I only reseted my bt router and I can see different IP address please people does it means my IP address is really changed and I can sell without problems thanks a lot

^ yes, you ip has really changed and you are good to go. No need to change MAC or anything. As long as ipburger shows a different ip, then everything is good regarding your ip query.

Thanks a lot!! :) and how can i create more eb and pp accounts using ipad?? I dont have a pc anymore and I could not find any answer here :( thats great every time when i restart bt router my ip change but if i want to have more than 1 account i can not restart router every time .. Can i? :)

By the way.. How can i log my ip? :) ( i am new here :D :) )

if you are on separate ip the ip will not change but if u are on sharing ip then ip change once u restart the dsl
