Hey everyone.

3tsy defector here. looking to learn about stealth for 3tsy. Not even sure it's possible now that they are requiring integrated Paypal and Direct Checkout. Ironically, I have 2 E-bay accounts and a paypal that have no troubles, but can't sell there because there really isn't much market for handmade. Sold on 3tsy since 2009 and they pulled the rug out from under me for a few international ND complaints without hesitation. Been trying to go it myself with my own site, but it's not looking good. 4,000 worth of supplies down the drain if I don't figure something out. I feel pretty beaten down at this point. I was supporting my family for more than 3 years on 3tsy and was making 50-100 a day. :tears:

From what I have been reading here in past threads, you experts were very against trying open a stealth account with Direct Checkout attached - is it even possible with the changes they have made? From now on, all new 3tsy accounts are being required to sign up with Direct Checkout and all paypal payments will be "filtered" through their direct checkout system. No standalone PP at all. Your own paypal account will never even see the money - Is it even possible to do stealth there now?

Welcome to the forums - stealth is still doable. Your pp info would match the info on etsy, both being stealth

@rsot - glad to hear you say that...It certainly makes things a little more difficult though. Most of the stealth process seems straightforward enough. but I am wondering, how do you all get around the issue of adding USPS package tracking, since tracking always shows exactly where an item is mailed from...?

Unbelievable. just found out that 3tsy is now requiring *photo id* to verify new accounts with the mandatory Direct Checkout. ugh. They are actually expecting people to upload this info to them before they turn their shop on. :suspicious:
