Hi there. New guy here. Quick question. If a suspended user logs into his account at your local library and eBay captures the IP address would it effect everyone else who uses their ebay at that library?

I know that if your eBay has your home IP address then they would ban everyone in that household. Happened to me. Simply ridiculous.

If a suspended account is used at a library, everyone else who logs into ebay at that library will be linked. Unless the library's ip has changed.

Yea thats what I'm afraid of. Guess only way to find out is to contact the library about it.

I wouldn't particularly worry about it.

I've used several different libraries in lots of different states and never got suspended for linking.

I'm sure Ebay's little BOTS can figure out that a "Hot Spot" is being used.

Unless ebay notices that they suspended hundreds of ebay accounts (with different names, address, phone numbers, etc) at a single ip address at the library. I suppose they may notice this. But the question is will the do anything about it? eBay can be pretty damn ruthless.

Most likely not, eBay's system is not as strict as that.

But as mentioned in eBay Stealth if there are similarities between those accounts, then yes sure they'll link.
