Question about Verizon flashed mifi device
 

I have the Verizon 3G flashed mifi device. The instructions that come with the device state to add $5 every month to the device. I find this annoying. Can I just add, say, $30 to the account balance and be good for 6 months instead of adding $5 every month? Or is there a specific reason to add the $5 each month in regards to how the flashed mifi plan is set up? Just trying to make my life a little easier, if anybody can clue me in I would appreciate it!

Yes you can.
But if the device is locked out for any reason (example - Verizon realizing youre using a flashed device) then youre out that money.
