ecommaster | 02-24-2017 09:06 AM | Google Cloud Platform Hi all, new to the forum, new to the game but learning tons of new data every day. I will start thanking all the great users for all the information shared on the forum.
I am in the middle of setting up everything needed to start creating/maintaining new accounts and I was wondering if anyone have/has any exp with the Google Cloud Platform.
Compared with the other services, such as VMWare, Azure, etc. is pretty inexpensive, easy to use and got some VMs up and running within minutes.
You can reserve your own IP per VM (static) so that’s a plus. Only downsize I found is looks like (and I haven’t played extensively with it) all static ips are from sanfran area (which makes sense). So if your address is form NYC it might raise some flags. Still, if you’re using a dongle or some sort of over-the-air connection you’re still kinda on the same situation, since I for example if you’re in Miami, FL your chances are your external IP is from Atlanta, GA (big HUB there).
So, going back to my original question, is there anyone using it? Good/Bad? Thanks!
PD: If anyone needs step-by-step on how to set up properly an Ubuntu VM with Gnome let me know and I’ll share it here. :thumb: |
