When it comes to stealth in the UK (thinking mainly Et.sy based stealth here) does your IP location and your stealth address have to match up?

I currently switch out the mac address on my router to give me a new IP for each of my accounts, and of course asking google what my IP is throws up my town as my location.

I was considering a VPN so that I don't have to reset my router so often. I've only ever used HMA (which you shouldn't worry, I wont be using if I go the VPN route) so I have no experience with dedicated VPN's. Do I buy the VPN, check the location then make my stealth address in that area? Or does it not matter that much?

Location - so long as its in the UK, then thats all that matters.

24vc.com are a good option.

I had already decided that if I was going to go down the VPN route it would be 24vc since its recommended so much on these forums.

I just wasn't sure how it would affect the set up of my account. I would have thought that if I told Et.sy I lived in the north but my IP said I lived in the south it might raise some red flags.

They know that many people use mobile internet which is not specific to your location, so doesn't matter at all

I was just about to ask this exact question! I was going to make my second stealth etsy with a stealth address about an hour or two from me but I wasn't sure if my 3 dongle would let them know which area I was in?

Well I was under the impression that it does give a rough location because it will use the signal from local towers. Or at least when I've used my phone to tether google has known where I am.

I figured the only way I can find out if Et.sy has an issue with it is by testing it. I was going to look at creating a burnable account though I doubt it will be any time soon that I test it, too much other stuff going on to be experimenting :lol:
