Can i use my phone hotspot on my computer instead of using VPN ??

Will it keep me safe from being detected ??

I use hotspot with phone tethering, no issues, and I use tons of data.

Hotspot is way advisable than vpn. and ebay loves it too!

Just make sure to note down your ips so you dont intermix them if using hotspot

I have a wifi hotspot I have not yet activated. I've never used one and have acouple of questions if anyone can help please?

1) If according to advice, I should keep record of each IP with each account so I don't use the same IP on different accounts, does a hotspot allow you to chose which IP to use each time? (sorry if this is obvious, I've never used a hotspot before)

2) Would turning an extra cell home into a hotspot work just as well?

3) Are there any limitations or things to be aware of if using either?

No, you cannot pick your IP address.....when you restart the device it "should" give you a new IP BUT that will also depend on the service provider.

Yes, Phones can also serve as a hotspot, the same rules apply....logging IP's and so on.

None really, just as long as you follow the rules, should work fine.

Basically any of the major Cell Co. is good.

I use that service, good range of IP address.

As my other Comrades have mentioned.....any Service will work really as long as you get a nice IP range.
