Tethering / airplane mode same IP Address

I made a post close to month ago about tethering my google pixel tmobile using pdanet foxfi. I got new ip address everytime i do the airplane mode then suddenly it seems the same ip.

I dont know if it's recent windows update but the last post i made, someone suggested I turn off airplane for 10 minutes and try again as it's getting more tedious.

I did that but still getting same ip . (turned off and on my pc and phone etc..)

Could it be that i'm stationed at my home so the phone needs to be travelling around the city more?

Or any other solutions

T-Mobile has very few ip addresses, is it lte?

Yes it is LTE
i love the speed with foxfi. But it was working fine... And suddenly windows update today and wondering if that was the reason.

I wanna keep this phone and provider as served me well and getting new phone just for ip , I think I will have to do the VMware (more user input and configuration but seems time to move on)

Since you are at home, are you certain the Wifi is off?

Sometimes I do speed tests on my phone, and see (what I think are) some incredible 4G Lte speeds only to find out that my phone was connected to my home Wifi. :)

Note: We have MetroPCS and absolutely LOVE IT!

Yes wifi was off. But it's very strange that my other laptop has same ip as my tethered laptop and it uses my home wifi. But my tethered laptop has wifi off (double triple checked) but shows same ip address...

BUT!!

I went to another location (costco) and currently eating the swirl ice cream and the tethered laptop ip address changed. I think the airplane mode is good but it doesn't guarantee new ip address. Sometimes you have to go new location and the different towers might give new ip... sound right?

Sounds like you are tethering/hot spotting off your phone with your home wifi.

You need to manually turn off the wifi on your phone and check your IP address and make sure it's your 4G Lte IP from your phone.
