Is my brand new stealth screwed??
 

Situation - I was logged into my new stealth eBay and using my VPN. My MacBook went to sleep after a couple of minutes of non use and when I woke it up, there was a message stating that the VPN had been disconnected and I needed to reconnect. I did NOT refresh any pages, click on anything web related, etc. I simply immediately reconnected my VPN.

Question - does this mean my new stealth eBay has now been associated with my original old home IP? To reiterate, I did NOT refresh or click on any webpages, etc

You're perfectly fine. My laptop goes to sleep all the time with stealth accounts open and I have to reconnect my VPN when I wake it up.

You weren't transferring any data to/from eBay servers while your VPN was down (since your laptop was asleep) so you haven't revealed your actual IP to them by doing this.

I've done this a few times myself. You will be fine. Try to remember to close all windows when you walk away from your computer. There is also a way to set up your security so that all windows close when the IP disconnects, but you will have to talk to your VPN about that. My laptop is so old I can't seem to get it to work.

I do this all the time. I suggest you create a new user on your windows solely for logging in the ebay account.
