New ip for comcastphone
 

This is it. I have the comcast bundle, phone, internet, cable. I have lynksys router. I unplug ethernet plug from back of lynksys into a large main modem thats for phone and internet combined when they install it in your house. I wait a few then bang, new IP. ipburger says BOSTON and R.I. so far. I have Comcast select call forwarding for free. Is that good for our needs. I keep reading and calling them but I can't get an answer. (Multiple numbers)

One other big thing. I got a separate modem on top of my big modem. I complained about broken internet service so I got that from them. You KEEP the main plug in the Main first spot on your lynksys but move your other pc lines into the big modem.

Wow I am glad you posted this. I was just going to ask about the Comcast bundle package. I was wondering if you could use the comcast internet phone to dial into a dial up provider. I guess I don't have to worry if all I have to do is unplug the modem.

You get an extra IP change with every new IP you formulate with your lynksys router. So if you know how to change it you get an extra one doing the above.
