Is my set up ok? VPN vs Mobile Data

Hi -

I have a hotspot and EE data sim card ready to use should I wish -

But currently I am using IP Burger. I have had no issues with IP Burger but just seeking opinions on what people prefer?

I have my eBay and PayPal on an Android tablet - 3 network sim card in the tablet providing internet and VPN up and running with kill switch, IPv4 only.

Runs nice and smooth - no drop outs with VPN - but is this overkill? I am reluctant to have a VPN running that is initially connected to my home internet provider.
