Proxy over SSH?
 

Hi,

I read somewhere that another option to VPN or proxy is a proxy over SSH tunneling, can someone please explain how this is good for Amazon Stealth? How is this being set up?

So long as your IP source is exclusive and not shared with others, or have otherwise been abused, you should be able to use SSH tunnel to your browser (SOCKS5) connection.
A tool I use to do this is called Bitvise. There are lots of tutorials and online videos to set this up.

Do you config your browser(s) directly with Proxy settings?

The Bitivise SSH Client software runs in the background (in windows) and you just set the browser SOCKS5 to use the forwarding port via localhost (127.0.0.1) on that same machine. This of course tunnels to the respective SSH server(s).

As I mentoned before, I have private IP's on servers that I control and arn't shared with anyone else. I also have access to private residential IP addresses which are not tied to a datacenter. I consider these to be the absolute best for access financial sites such as PayPal or banks, as such IP's always score better on fraud checks.
