HotSpot/Tethering Long term ip
 

Have been selling for a while and have about 3 shops currently. I have been using time warner to switch ip's and this works really well. Have also used tmobile hotspot once when on vacation.

Question: Have people used hotspots for long periods of time with no problems?

The tmobile hotspot changed ip's during the session constantly, so I do not recommend tmobile.


I am wanting to have my accounts always on and hooked up to their own little computer and ip. Mainly so I can answer messages instantly without going through my stealth ritual.

Thinking about each with there own sim/hotspot. Is this a good idea? or is there a better way to have each account always on?

My IP setup involves only hotspots and sims. I'm running around 6 accounts currently, i use my normal phone to hotspot 4G for one account and 3G for the other

I then purchased a 24 month data sim, and another pay monthly number which is only used for hotspotting.

I use those 2 sims with a dual sim phone i bought for £65, and i switch between 4G and 3G, which took a while to figure out properly but im up and running now. Im in the UK btw.

I'll be purchasing another 2 sims and another dual sim phone, and run another 4 accounts in total. I've been hotspotting for 4 yrs, never had an issue, i dont record IP's either and have never been linked. I've only been limited on PP due to the high risk items, no linking or anything.

In UK,but been using mobile data for my accounts since mid 2017. Never had any issues.

Great! Thank you for the responses.

From reading seems like in the USA people use Verizon and ATT. Any big differences between the two? Price isn't much of a factor, want whatever is the most reliable and efficient.

is there any handset that can create 2x4G hotspot via a dual sim?
Thinking to go down this route rather than ip burger

I use a phone that has dual sim, i always have to change settings between 4g and 3g, in essence, 4 ip's, im not sure if there is a device that simultaneously does it, but it literally takes me 10 seconds, from a £64 phone.

Ok thanks- are your users set up on VM or different windows profiles? Im looking to down the vm route

Updating this thread with some info.

Tried the ATT unlimited from ebay sellers, and did the 8 gig monthly.
The 8gig monthly seems to work better and more consistant , less throttling.
I am also in an area that has throttling/congestion normally, so not sure if is related specifically to the plan.

Been using the prepaid sims since feb and all is good. Have had reaccuring ips every so often. I always make sure to log every ip I use in an excel sheet related to the user/account.

Overall way happier using the prepaid sim for my couple accounts then rebooting the router each time.
