Whoer 100% Anonymous = In the clear?
 

Hi all,

If whoer stipulates that I am 100% anonymous while using a proxy, does this indicate that it will function with eBay/PayPal? Are there other methods to determine whether a proxy is strong, and will work with eBay/Paypal?

Well, the question should be... what does eBay/PayPal think about proxy services? Do they mind when people use this service to login into their accounts? Do they treat those people the same as residential IPs or safer VPN services?

What is important is the quality of the IP address. And in most cases proxies are used by hundreds or thousands of people and blacklisted.

Simple stated, in most cases no they will not work for eBay/PayPal.

According to numerous online services, the proxy I am using is indistinguishable as a proxy. It is a very high quality private proxy that cost a few dollars a month.

There are data points on here of services like this working without detection by eBay/Paypal. I do not have a great understanding of proxies, especially for eBay as I have always used other methods. Additional input would be very informative.

just make sure your ip isn't blacklisted and score shouldn't be higher than 0.5 via getipintel. net.

According to the website you listed, a vpn ip address purchased on 24vc shows a score of 1, so do some other proxies I tried entering. Not sure if the method you laid out is accurate.

The reason 24vc shows a score of 1 is because it's a known datacenter IP. That doesn't mean it's a bad IP to use, but one with a slightly elevated risk score. So long it's not shared with others, and clean, you might be ok.
