Help Me Understand Shared Proxy Better

If i used a shared proxy, it is my understanding multiple users will be sharing this same proxy and thus ip address. My question is does the performance of the proxy suffer when multiple users are using it concurrently. For example, user A and user B both visit a website at the same time. Does this affect the fidelity of the proxy?

I'm not certain about this, but I can't imagine two concurrent users would impede on performance. If that's what you're asking.
