3G or 4G UK
 

My dongle works well with both, 4G is obviously faster. Which is the preferred one to use? Does one have a large ip pool than the other?

I notice when I disconnect while using 3g the ip address will refresh whilst if on 4g I have to physically unplug the dongle and then plug it back in to get a new ip

There's a post here that reported 3G got larger number of IP pool than 4G.
If your purpose is to manage multiple accounts, then use the 3G as you have experienced it to have easily got a new ip.
I cannot confirm this as im using a 4G IP rotating proxy service.
Im more concerned on the speed for the ease of work, and it saves me a lot of time.

As WEI has already stated, 3g has got a larger IP pool than 4g at the moment.

Stop plugging and unplugging. It won't be long until you wear out your USB ports.

Get a cheap unlocked MiFi instead or even a 4G router. Stick your sim in and leave it plugged into the mains socket then dedicate a tab to the MiFi admin page.
Every time you toggle between generations, your MiFi/ router should reboot and supply you a new IP. Even if you toggle within the same generation e.g 3g/3g
