Can eBay & PP see you are using virtual machines ?

Hi everyone.

1- My question is Can eBay & PP see you are using virtual machines ?

2- If yes then how to avoid that ?

3- Is just installing virtual machines enough ? or do we still have to click some buttons, install some apps to make them completely stealth ?

Please help

Yes you can be linked via your WebGL fingerprint, since the VMs don't use a real GPU, but this doesn't currently happen in practice and people are using them just fine.

^^ 0bitus is correct, however, because of how simple and cheap it is to implement, it would be really silly of eBay and PayPal not to implement these.

There are many ways one can tell you're using a VM and WebGL is just one.
Your WebRTC and Canvas hashes will be limited to the minimal options VMs have to offer.
If eBay / Amazon decides to catalogue the ( limited range of) hashes from VMs, they can tell if you use a VM by looking for a match in their catalogue.

The only way to prevent detection via WebGL, WebRTC and Canvas is to block these, but variation in your screen resolution can also give you away.

Whether you can block all these and still get on just fine with both platforms is another matter.

I agree with the OP. even though they are not looking at these criteria, if they will decide to dig deep they will figure out and link your accounts.
