VPN Providers - Revealing Real Information
Let's say I've connected with my VPN and my IP address changed pretending that I'm residing in a different area or country. Are your tracks still covered? If they really wanted to investigate your tracks, can people from the state contact the VPN Provider and reveal your real IP? What if you use a Proxy or Public Wi-Fi? Can you ever be traced? A VPN encrypts your data where a Proxy will just change your IP address. So, I'm still not sure why people are using a VPN instead of a Proxy. Can someone shed some more light on this please?
And, I have two questions.
1. What would happen if I connect a VPN through a VPN?
2. Any good freeware program that masks your NIC MAC address?
