Chrome & TOR Public IP Simultaneously Connected
 

If I had to connect to a public Wi-Fi and then connect using the TOR browser, will my IP get changed? I've noticed that when I open the TOR browser, a different Public IP is shown and if I check the IP from Chrome, I get my ISP's Public IP.

Even through they are 2 separate Public IPS, which one is shown to the outside world? Can't the Public IP from TOR only be used? What are the possibilities of getting traced? I'm asking just for my own general knowledge.

Hope I managed to explain myself. If something isn't clear, please let me know and I will try to explain it for clearly.

Using Tor is equivalent to browsing the internet through 5 or 6 VPN connections at once. Your traffic is tunneled through several Tor nodes before reaching the destination server and coming back to you.

So when you're on Tor the only IP websites see is your Tor IP. Unless you're browsing .onion's though, Tor IP's will be fairly useless to you since they are well known and blacklisted by most of the regular internet.

TOR is known to be absolute garbage, it's the bane to stealth.

If you want to hide your IP, why not just go for IPburger VPN?
They are specifically made for it.

Public IP on top of that is also not the best
