Re: When does your IP change?

With most cellular providers the IP changes all the time.
You can check your IP by going to a site such as "myipaddress.com" using the browser on your phone.
Then you can test switching IPs by turning on 'airplane mode' on your phone and turning it back off after a few seconds.
Refresh the page and you should see a new IP address listed.

thanks slokor, Also , is ebay fine when same account is accessed with different ip around same location?.

I mean when we use phone as hotspot and it will give a new ip everytime we turn on and off the airplane mode

Yes, try to check myipaddress from your phone and than turn on and off airplane mode . It will give you new ip.

Re: When does your IP change?

ok but i have already logged in on my new phone so checking to see if it will change now will not really help me much right? I need to know if it changed the first time when i got a new phone, i think? lol i dont know much about this stuff I just know they told me to get a new phone so i did. So if it doesnt change when you get a new phone then the damage is already done right? So I kinda just need to know if it changed when i got the new phone? Forgive me if i sound ignorant, but i am to all this.

Re: When does your IP change?

let me kinda explain the situation and any help would be appreciated. Sorry but this may be long..okay so i had an account over a year ago that got suspended. I used my cell phone mainly on that account and also my computer sometimes, I have since moved and got a new Internet service provider so I know my computer is safe now. And i have also gotten a new phone with a new number but it is still with cricket on the same plan..so i know my computer is safe because i switched providers but im wondering now is my new phone safe? And another thing..the email i used to create the new account may be an email that i created on the old phone that the account got suspended on, i cant remember (it has never been on an account before) but may have been created on that same device to the suspended account. I have changed the email to a new address created on my new computer but will they be able to see that the other email i used to open it was created from the same IP that got suspended?

If you're using the same ISP provider and never kept track of the IPs you may eventually re-use the same IP

So if you want to play things safe, create a new email, and use a new ISP and track the IPs you're using on the account

Hotspots if you're in the US will run you $30-50 monthly, or you can go with IPBurger/24vc
