uk sim card in USA with uk ip address?
 
If I were in the USA and I obtain a UK sim card, would I get a UK ip address? Does the uk sim card work overseas here in the states? For the life of me, I could've sworn there was a thread on this but cannot find it anymore.

I'm assuming it wouldn't work since your cell phone doesn't have an antenna strong enough to pick up signals from the UK.

I can get a UK phone number fine in USA, but data, i'd be curious.

In the US you get a US IP

If you used it in the UK or anywhere in the EU then you get a UK IP

That was the case for EE and Three at least when last tried 2 years ago.

Crap, so 2 years ago if you had those sim cards, you could've had a UK ip address?

that wouldn't be possible, you would get a US IP, it would connect to an existing network

But if you take the phone with the EE sim to the UK you would get a UK IP with it, and a US IP if you brought the phone to the US

so there's no way to get uk mobile address whatsoever while in USA? in other words, I'm f****ed?

You would need to look into UK data center or residential IPs

I think IPburger offers them but not sure, check them out
