No luck changing dynamic IP
 

Have 2 wire dsl modem with At&T

searched posts and reviewed stealth book - no luck

att says cannot change tho it does change sometime btw 10p-8a each day while being not used but plugged in

what doesn't work:

unplug modem for a time and replug

searched web w/out a good answer

cmd, disconnect, renew

download smac - not changing ip; may not using correctly

logged into 2wire admin - cannot locate any mac option

there has 2 be a way to change w/o waiting every 24 hrs to login in btw my accounts or going to borders to use their wifi

I am having the same troubles and gave up some time ago. I now use dial up for my accounts.

I have successfully changed my ip before with AT&T only to have it change back to the old suspended one unknowingly resulting in a Paypal limitation.

I have had many different broadband connections and never had problems changing an IP until I went with AT&T.

Really you need to have at least 2 or 3 accounts and to do this you need either dial up (which I don't recommend because it sucks) , or mobile broadband.

I am getting mobile broadband next week through Cricket.
