dns leak
 

Hello everyone, firstly id like to say im glad i found the forum there's some great minds and a wealth of knowledge here.

I was wondering if someone could help me with an issue im having please?

I have a dns leak with ipburger residential ip's, any connection i try to use is giving me a leak with ip address coming from germany. Ive tried location and isp connection, mobile and home connections, tried changing my id and also tried installing the extension on firefox, chrome and brave all with the same outcome, dns leak to germany.

When i run the test with my old vpn (nord) it comes back fine no leaks, ive been talking to support and they have been a great help but they cant figure it out and have passed me onto tect support who im waiting to here from and i was just wondering if anyone has encountered this problem or might have a suggestions on how to solve this?

You could try manually setting the DNS servers for the connection. If you go into the connection settings you'll have the option of specifying a primary and alternate DNS server.

I don't know if it will solve your problem but it worked for me when my DNS was showing the wrong country a couple years ago.

Thanks for the reply, this may sound like a silly question but do you mean in the connection of the ipburger extension settings for the browser?
