If residential IP is dynamic, don't need a proxy plan - are you in the USA as your flag suggests? |

1. what did support say?
2. in the code somewhere it should say something like "Sesstime-30"
This means it'll change every 30 min. |

This means it'll change every 30 min. | I also encountered IP duplication with IPBurger's US dynamic residential IP. For IPBurger's UK dynamic IP, it switches every 2-3 seconds, not half an hour. The UK IP switches so fast that it can't be used to register an account. |

In fact this is a lie. From my experience with ipburger, if you keep your IP stable during your eBay account registration, you will almost never be asked by eBay for additional SMS or email verification codes. However, if your IP keeps changing, you will always be asked to provide a verification code, even if you have just provided it, and you will receive an email notification that your eBay account is abnormally logged in. So do you still think that the IP change has no effect? ipburger's US residential dynamic IP can basically be guaranteed to be stable within 20 minutes of registration, but he will often have duplicate IPs. ipburger's UK residential dynamic IP will change frequently, and your IP will even change dozens of times during your registration. Since your IP keeps changing, you will also be frequently asked to provide a verification code to continue the operation. So ipburger is not suitable for registering a new account until the IP stability is solved. |

Not a biggie for most, I can remain logged in for days on end.
That said, I suspect that a changing IP wont be the one thing alone which triggers an SMS, if your account is stable, same browser, cookies in place and a good IP source then I don't expect to be constantly asked to verify via SMS.
Time will tell but certainly something worth thinking about.
Maybe some folk would be better off with static IP's? |
