24VC changed IP, is it OK to login to PayPal?
 

After 5 years of a fresh dedicated IP on my PayPal, 24VC have changed my details/IP. Not sure why.

I can either:

1. Use the new dedicated IP provided by 24VC.

2. Use my 4G phone tether (I've checked and it provides dynamic IP each time I toggle on/off Airplane mode).

Any ideas as to which would be safer? I'll be using the same computer/cookies/browser.

Also, would this pose any risk to the account?

Your new dedicated IP will be fine.

^Agreed with Jigsaw. As long as you use the same browser you've always used there won't be any problems. I've had 24vc change my IP 3x since I started using them and it's never caused me any problems. It happens when they aren't able to renew the contract for the IP you were originally using.

It should be ok as long as you don't change anything else.

As long as you have your same browser, cookies and windows info you will be fine. Think about it like this, how many times have you left the state and used your phone to log into your mobile banking app??? I’ve done it several times while I was in different states. I personally know for a fact my phone ip shows im in Texas a lot… I live on the east coast.

Now if you had a different ip, and no cookies, and a different browser, with a different user agent that’s a whole different story.
