IPBurger Fresh vs Vodaphone Data Dongle
 

Hi All

I’d be interested in any practical opinions on how best to get an IP address for my one single ebay/paypal stealth buying account.

I’m currently testing a Vodaphone Data Dongle (not logged into ebay/paypal yet with it) on my dedicated stealth laptop to see how fast and stable the connection is for web browser usage. So far it’s OKish, but the signal strength is a bit crap due to where we live and is slow on a browser. Vodaphone is also the strongest provider for our area compared to others, so this is as good as it can get.

This now makes me think that maybe using ‘IPBurger Fresh Basic’ running on my existing ultrafast fibre broadband connection may be the best option. I’ve based by selection of ‘Fresh’ based on my stealth ebay/paypal buying account now being over 6 years old and I believe Fresh is good for existing accounts.

I’d be very interested to see what others think is the best long term option?

If you have access to a dongle with a decent IP pool, its usually cheaper to go that route for multiple shops

But if speed is better using home internet + IPburger, that's usually worth it in time saved waiting for pages to load

Thanks Beautiful, for the feedback.

If I can somehow improve the speed and stability of the Data Dongle option, I’ll go with that. I picked up a 3m USB extension cable that I’m going to plug the data dongle into in order to get the dongle right up next to a window to see if things get any better.

Failing that, the IPBurger Fresh option will be what I will have to use.
