| jbluntz | 11-23-2009 02:03 PM | It's supposed to change every time you sign in to the internet, just set your home page to ipburger.com on your computer, write down the ip, unplug the usb and sign in again, you'll see it will be different. |
| kobedakid | 11-23-2009 02:04 PM | hey did it come with a cd to install it kind of like a router. is their a way to get into the settings of the usb.. if so I might be able to show you how to spoof the mac address... |

it's giving me an ip address on the west coast, i'm no where near there though.. |
| lakeman | 11-23-2009 02:09 PM | IP location doesn't matter, but you should get a new ip each time you reconnect. Unplug it for around 30 seconds and plug it back in, then check ipburger. |
| jbluntz | 11-23-2009 02:11 PM | Whatever ip it gives you is a legitemate ip, your not using vpn. |

| lakeman | 11-23-2009 02:27 PM | Have you unplugged it for 30 seconds yet???? |

| jbluntz | 11-23-2009 02:53 PM | You need to make sure you're logged off the internet first. |

| jbluntz | 11-23-2009 03:21 PM | You probably need to reset your network conections, I'm not sure exactly sure how to do that at the moment. It's easier just to use different windows users so you don't have to worry about changing it, each time you login initially it will be different. |
| lakeman | 11-23-2009 03:49 PM | I have attemped to help you nobody, unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back in, then check ip. |
| kobedakid | 11-23-2009 04:20 PM | hey do you connect by a router try changing the ip on the router then reconnect with the virgin modem mayb that might do it I dunno tho lol |
| lakeman | 11-23-2009 05:14 PM | Read the OP. He uses a USB modem. |
| GreenBean | 11-23-2009 05:19 PM | nobody,

if anyone knows how to get the ip changed, let me know.
otherwise, for people that are considering getting this, the ip address looks like it's static. |
| GreenBean | 11-23-2009 06:19 PM | I wish you have acknowledged that fact. Seemed you were ignoring posts.
I have googled & there is not a lot of info about this mobile. Did you have to instal drivers when you got the usb? Can you give me the range of IP
that you got from ipburger? Have you phoned their service department? |
| jbluntz | 11-23-2009 06:29 PM | I use my blackberry on 10 windows user accounts, each time I set up the connection with each user it shows different ip but then when I return the ip for each user is the same as when I signed in the first time so its gotta have something to do with resetting your network connections or just do like me and you won't need to, you just switch users to get a new ip. |

| jbluntz | 11-23-2009 10:41 PM | That is weired I never heard of mobile broadband doing that.
So I guess the broadband you're using is different from a smartphones broadband which also connects usb, I haven't had a chance to use those yet. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:47 AM. | |
