Can I get the IP address of someone from an email?
 

A situation developed this week in which I think that I got myself a stalker...SERIOUSLY
I can not verify any of the information that she initially gave me...email with return address with no last name, cell phone that she assumed from a friend who wanted out of their contract, Google, whitepages.com and State Court websites that show no one with the name that she provided.
I have received almost 100 emails to my regular email and messages through Facebook in the last 5 days...it is getting ridiculous. The emails have not been threatening, but they are annoying and because of the amount of them are harassing. I have been ignoring all cyber communications and the voice mails that have been left on my phone.
Seems to me I remember someone discussing tracking a person's IP address via some embedded code or such in the email itself. I know that there is no way to get a physical address, but first of all an IP address would probably at least verify the location that I was told she was in.

I would really appreciate any help that any of our experts here could provide and apologize if I posted this in the wrong section.

What's your regular mail? Like is it gmail or yahoo? You can get a whole heap of info from the header itself.

good website for this is Certified email with delivery receipts, silent tracking, proof-of-opening history, security and timestamps. ----u can send a reply back and when she opens u almost get a boat load of informations.
