Default DSL + Vonage works w/ Dial-up?

I know that dial up requires a phone line to connect, so does it work when I have vonage (VoIP)?

Do you have to provide correct information for the shipping address/phone #, etc when you sign up?

What are you Saying??

Are you saying that you have Vonnage, and want to add Dial UP--That makes No sense----Vonnage is a phone service, or did I miss Something?

If you are Saying that you have a Dial Up Internet Connection and want to add Vonnage, your awnser is No, Vonnage will Not be able to go over a 56k Modem.

If you Have DSL Internet Connection Vonnage will be Ok,

Of course that works, i use that myself the last 6 month.

Its simple.

1. Buy a 56k Modem
2. Order the Vonage Adapter
3. Plugin the Telephone-Cable into the Adapter
4. You need to change the settings on Vonage.com to "maximum quality"
5. Configure the 56k Modem on your PC
6. Make the Connection to your Dialup-ISP

Thats all! Believe me, it will work!

@slapped
He want to Use Vonage for DialUp Internet, so he uses his DSL-Connection to Connect the Vonage Adapter and use the Vonage Phone System to connect his 56k Modem to the Internet, so that he has a new IP with his Modem!

He want to Use Vonage for DialUp Internet, so he uses his DSL-Connection to Connect the Vonage Adapter and use the Vonage Phone System to connect his 56k Modem to the Internet, so that he has a new IP with his Modem!

This is if YOUR CONNECTION to the Internet is a High Speed Connection, Like DSL or Cable.

So the Chain will Look like this: PC--56k Modem--Vonnage Adapter--High Speed Connection---Correct?---This I can See working.

However, What I Understood from the Post is that he would like to use Vonnage on a PC that connects to the Internet Thru a 56K Modem with NO HI-Speed Connection at ALL---This I cannot see Working, am I wrong? I Cannot see a 56k Modem having enough Bandwith to work with Vonnage.
