Can IP address track your EXACT location

Hi everyone. This is a probably a stupid question, but can Ebay use your ip address to track your exact location (i.e. street address) or can they just narrow it down to the city. Know this question was asked before but it was like 2 years ago. Just wondering if anyone actually knows how sophisticated Ebay's tracking technology is. Also, does anyone know if they monitor how your browse their site once you login. If I use multiple accounts and I always search for the same items on both accounts or click on the same tabs can they catch me.

Those IP's are general area cause I mix towns even nearby states no problems. Get the stealth book and save allot of time asking questions and then waiting for an answer that may be weak.

Just city, usually within 3 miles of your actual address.

Yes, most of us know. Just read though the forum and you will too, or go with Hercules advice and get the Stealth Book.

Yes agree with Theygotmetoo

The only people that can track you are the cops after they have sought the proper requests to do so.

Also anyone can do a simple whois lookup and get the ip provider details.

Anyone can also ring up the provider and ask for full details and like I say in theory it should only be the police that get this info after receiving the correct documentation.

Yea but sometimes when I go deep into the numbers (57 to like 51 ) when changing the router, I get a town 150 miles away. Ebay never cares... weird.

I guess it depends on how you are doing it. Let's say your neighbor has open wifi access. His ISP has a ip location somewhere in Washington... but you both live in Texas. You use his open network. I guess they can track it down to who owns the internet service but then what?
Just an example I guess you could get 1 of these Free internet Biquad wifi Antenna 2-4 miles 12+ DB gain - eBay (item 180468204237 end time Mar-12-10 22:00:58 PST) and then who would they be tracking down? Not trying to give anyone any ideas but ips are like prepaid cell phones they can't prove who owns or use the phone.
