Verizon question

Are there any prepaid options to use Verizon mobile to connect to the internet? Either through tethering or using a USB or PC card modem?

The easiest and fastest way to get a new IP is to get the Verizon broadband mobile card($60 a month) Or you can sign up for a contract with Verizon DSL which is $20 a month.

And don't forget to press the THANKS button. ;)

I already have internet at home that I am able to get new IPs with. So I wouldn't need the DSL. I was looking for something to use when away from home.

I keep seeing that Verizon is the best as far as getting new IPs so I was looking first for a prepaid option that I could use on vacations. I don't really want to get a contract when it is only going to be used for 5 or 6 weeks a year.

I saw that there used to be an option to get DUN on their prepaids for free but it looks like it got closed. I would even pay for it if it was an option. Looking on Verizon's web site I can see that they have unlimited Mobile Web on their prepaids for $1 a day. But I can't see where you can tether your laptop to use it. I think that both PagePlus Cellular and StraightTalk use Verizon but they do not include much data and I don't think you can use DUN on them. If you could that would be great.

I would not mind the broadband card if there was a prepaid option. I don't really want to sign up for a year or two year contract.

Verizon does have a prepaid Broadband option, but it's only 500MB. That's not a lot at all, it's $50 a month for that.

Yeah, I think he misread what I said which completely eliminated the point of me responding. :pout:

I'm sorry. I guess I did miss it. Clicking on your link took me to the general Verizon page and I didn't see anything about prepaid. Lakeman's link was a little more direct. I was a little too lazy.
