IP Address Change for router and cable modem in-one (Charter)
 

Need some help for changing my IP address. I have charter and use a cable modem with a built-in router, it's a netgear. thanks guys as your help is appreciated. i have been trying to do it all week with no success.

I have been trying like hell to change my ip with charter also and so far no luck. it's a netgear CGD24G. did you have any luck?:confused:

I do not know if the service with Charter is static or dynamic. If it dynamic you will be able to change it!

when i type in 192.168.0.1
i get connection has timed out :/

check your gateway ip, type that into the url box...
should be
192.168.0.1
172.168.0.1
10.0.1.1

theres a few other standards. and the next to last one is likely to be 1, or 0 on any of them.
