Default T-Mobile WebConnect Laptop Stick?

Does anyone know if T-Mobile's WebConnect Laptop Stick will allow me to change the IP address at will?
T-Mobile has a free laptop dongle I want to take advantage of but I'm hoping it's not static.

Thanks

You would have to call them and ask as Tmobile Usa is different then other countries. Because you can use an iphone on Tmobile and while tethering u can get a new ip but idk if its the same on the usb stick

You might want to ask them if you can have a dynamic ip. I know with verizon, they have to check a code in billing to make it static

Even if it's dynamic you still might not be able to change it, I'm using Clear which is dynamic and if I change the mac to get a new ip, I won't be able to connect until I change it back to the original ip

Yeah it changes when you change the mac but you won't have any connectivity, you can only use the ip you're assigned with, haven't tried it with a router though.

Lol so that means you can't change the ip you would have to be able to change the ip and use it. I think the only way is with a 3g router but the 1 I have won't do Clear. I tried everything I even found the modem address and nothing worked!

With the Clear are you using the USB stick modem or the card? I looked at the card in the store and it changed ips every time for me. The USB stick wouldn't do it. I have a Verizon USB stick and it assigns a new IP every time.

I'm using the wimax home service with ethernet, I use my blackberry for my stealth accounts but if you use more than 5mb a month it can get pretty expensive.

Hey
I bought the WebConnect stick. Everytime I connect I get a different IP only the last numbers change for example : 208.54.90.54 to 208.54.90.52

ISP: T-MOBILE USA
Organization: T-MOBILE USA
Proxy: None detected
Type: Broadband
Assignment: Static IP

Geolocation Information
Country: United States us flag
State/Region: Pennsylvania
City: Norristown

Is this a no no ?
Please let me know anyone, if this is good or should I use tethering through iphone using tmobile to get a new ip ?

Thanks

The last 2 numbers are all you need. I believe that what it says in the Stealth Book.

But even if it keeps drawing back to :

ISP: T-MOBILE USA
Organization: T-MOBILE USA
Proxy: None detected
Type: Broadband
Assignment: Static IP

or would that raise a flag ?
How does the tethering work if you don't mind sharing that with me ? could be more useful and cheaper for me.

I like using a tethered mobile phone. you get a new ip each time you disconnect and reconnect. Yiu can get free and unlimited tethering if you unlock an iphone with a custom ispw. custom os and sync it using itunes.

I just got a Verizon Broadband card and the it gets a new IP address everytime. So far I am very pleased with that purchase. I was using my bberry to connect but I noticed that T-mobile just gives you a pool of IPs (probably 10 or 15 IP addresses) so I believe Verizon is very much worth it if you get a different IP address everytime you connect.

Has anyone else had a problem with a dynamic IP?

On a non-stealth account I have been limited several times by Paypal because they think someone else is trying to access my account with another IP address. Anyone else have this issue?
