Canadian internet sticks/air cards
 

Can anyone confirm if any of the Canadian air cards available give a new IP every connect?
There are lots of options:
Virgin
Fido
Rogers
Telus
Bell

But $30-$40 a month is too much for a single IP. For many, its great. But before I dump a bunch of cash on a dongle and service I need to know it refreshes IP for sure....

Dial-up is absolutely painful! Unusable really.

I got Virgin, and it keeps issuing the same IP for me every time I connect, I tried flashing the MAC on the stick but it does not seem to work.

What internet service are you using on your computer now? if you have rogers or bell broadband you can easily refresh the ip's just by changing the mac address

Ya, but every time? Doing that every day is not too piratical. Looking for something a little less grief.

Virgin Canada told me the ip is dynamic and changes every time. But sometimes these customer service folks are a bit uninformed.

It takes 2 minutes to change the Mac address in the router settings and reconnect the cable modem and you have a new ip, good thing with rogers is if you save the Mac addresses, you can use them later and get the same IP you previously had with that address.
