Question about new IP
 

How can I make it so that my home IP is untraceable to my paypal account when I logon? Do proxies work? And if so then which ones do you advise? Is there an easier option?


I was also wondering if anyone here has had success buying virtual property online such as game gold. They often require a phone number to confirm the transaction. I was wondering if they could use the number for other purposes as well. Say if I charged back, could they use that phone number to track me down WITH authorities?

Hmm. Not entirely confident of the motive you have. But here goes some short answers.

I've bought some in game gold a few times. It's been awhile though. I never went through ebay/payapl. I would buy it from the companies website and I would pay with a prepaid Visa. Yes they would usually want a phone number and they would call me to verify the transaction. During the phone call we would also arrange where our characters should meet in game so that they could give me the gold.

Never got scammed. I may be able to find the company(ies) that I bought from if you would like.
