IP Burger .. IP problems

Hi guys

I have seen a lot of people on here suggesting IP Burger - What is my IP Address? Find Your IP Address! as a good place to check your IP.
I recently have had some problems with ebay/paypal linking my accounts.
So I have been testing my ip addresses and my modem.
And I have discovered that What IP - What is my IP Address? , and What Is My IP Address? Lookup IP, Hide IP, Change IP, Trace IP and more... are both giving me exactly the same details.
And IP Burger is giving me different information.
This is leading me to believe that the odd one out is likely giving me incorrect info. Anyone else had this experience with IPburger ?

I noticed it too, not just with ipburger, but with all of them. When I check my ip address I get two different addresses each time I log on.
So now I log on and then look for the second ip address before I do anything.
It makes me one if my other accounts were linked due to ip's matching!
Btw, I'm using a tethered Blackberry modem.

Take care,
digitalslave

IPBurger is an aspkin creation. Specially what is different? The actual location or something else differs? The IP location can differ on these programs. Provided the numbers remain the same, it is not usually an issue for ebay/paypal.

To back this up with an example, the IP of your post shows that it is located in Area A when I use any of the first three sites. When I use another site, it says that the location is Area B. (I cant use IPBurger as it only IDs my own IP and a location.) Is this what happens for you?

Using mobile internet access, IPBurger has shown me to be 600 miles away.IP numbers still the same and no problems,

Hope this helps you,Jesse:peace:

OK .. sorry Aspkin .. I did not mean to rock the boat..

It is just that as mentioned above .. the other 2 sites are giving me the same details.
The only details I am paying attention to is the numbers .. 110.39.45.342.12
That was just an example. But IPburger is giving me a totally different set of numbers than the other 2 sites. Also I noticed when I refreshed my browser it actually gave me a new set of numbers.. imagine that .. like refreshing the browser can give you a new IP?
Maybe it is something to do with being overseas ?

Well, I've just checked my IP address with IPChicken, IPBurger and What's My IP Address? Networking Tools & More
They all gave me the same IP address.

Like I say .. I am in Thailand maybe that is why ..

GreenBean 07-16-2010 06:57 AM

Not sure that would be the reason. We need aspkin for sure.
You're not using a mobile?:spy:

I use a USB Modem with a sim card for a mobile phone ..

proXPN works great and its free . i use it because my ip is static and time warner will not change it. I checked with ipburger and ipchicken

pod 07-16-2010 08:57 AM

I have noticed with ip chicken it sometimes pulled page from cache. Needed a refresh to be accurate. Maybe something similar here.

IPBurger is giving me a new number each time I refresh ..

It changes , then changes back , then changes again .. generates a new number after each refresh. Tried the other sites .. they consistantly give the same number and no effect when I refresh ! Very suspect.

whatismyipaddress.com works good and it has a map.

jesseinkaron 07-16-2010 09:37 AM

Yes ... I have said above that is one of the 2 sites I mentioned are giving me consitant details .. consitantly different than IPburger

IPBurger was made in like two hours... it could be some coding issues with proxy connections.. I haven't had any issues with it though.

I am going to add a whole bunch of new features to it soon though.. should be interesting.

oompaloompa 07-16-2010 11:05 AM

I have just checked with all the ip sites inc ipburger and my ip is the same on all of them
