I currently use a broadband card to connect to the internet and sign in to my ebay accounts. I've had no problems with linking that way because I get a new ip address every time.

However, I'm thinking about getting a Droid. The guy told me I can tether it and connect it to my laptop. I'm wondering will this work. Will I get a new ip address?

I want to be sure before I make the purchase.

The droid works on 3g network. So you will get a new ip address everytime you turn off your phone or put it in air plane mode. It works great!

yes it will you can either

tether it or do a hotspot- connection which will be 29.99 extra which im paying but i LOVE IT!!!
