Help Changing IP address

Hi I hope this is the right place.

I need help changing my IP address. Here is a diagram of how my internet is set up:

modem>>>>Vonage>>>Linksys WRT610 Router>>>Computer

I have countlessly tried changing my ip address but it just would not change. I tried changing the Mac Address Clone but no luck. Help?
