Clear Wireless internet IP help
 

Hello

I currently have Clear Wireless Internet. When I check my IP address it is 50.8.122.77

When I go into the Run/Cmd/ipconfig I cant find those numbers anywhere.

I want to have 5 different users on my computer and ebay. I have created the users and now Im stuck with the IP address.

What is the best way to go about doing this and using 5 different IP addresses for logging in with different user.

SOrry bud but you can't change your ip with Clear unless you have a 4G/3G usb. Just use a website like ipburger.com to check to see if your ip is changing.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I kinda gathered from doing all the research on it.

What would be the easiest way to access 4 different accounts on ebay from the same computer.

I was thinking about getting comcast and 4 different routers for each account.

Is this the best and easiest option?

Well either Verizon broadband card or since you already have Clear the easiest would be to get the 3g/4g usb stick and it will change automatically everything you connect disconnect or do you have a iphone or droid the list is endless.

This IP part is becoming really confusing to me. :faint::faint:

What you are saying is that I can get the Clear service with the 3g/4g USB STICK. In doing so, my IP address will change every time that I connect/disconnect the USB Stick from my Computer.

on normal home modems you can change your dhcp client id or mac address on the router.
many home modems now have the router built in. When the router is built in i think they might lock the MAC address and DHCP client id.

I looked into getting a clear spot but MAC and DHCP is locked. However the firmware is GPL. Someone might have already made the needed adjustments. If not maybe someone with the skills could do this.


maybe a firmware reload or force restart could change the ip
also you might try turning it of, traveling far enough to use different towers, when you reconnect you might have a new one.

If you goto a different major city you should get a new ip. Where you go from one dot on the coverage map, to the next one. Looking at the current coverage map if your in Colorado, Idaho, Missouri, Minnesota, Tennessee, or Utah, you'll have to go out of state.
