Iphones and Ip addresses
 

Im using an iphone 4 jailbroken with mywi 4.0 installed for tethering. Before i start setting up my accounts, Id like to know how to reset the ip for each one/retain an old ip. Basicly any information since the iphone tethering section was kinda small in the book

You can't get back an old ip, that's fine though. With dial up your ip changes every time you connect, so your ip changing isn't a problem.

You change your ip by going to settings>airplane mode, wait about 5 seconds, click airplane mode off and you should have a new ip. Go to ipburger.com to make sure it changed.

someone told me u can use mywi on 3g but I cant see an option for this?
and how do you get it to work on 3g as I can only see wifi or bluetooth
i found that if I didnt switch off my o2 router it seem to keep its ip address and not the iphone ip even when connected to my iphone with mywi

I have it working nice and installed ip manager and did the plane mode and its works lovely and I will make a stealth account in a few days after I read stealh again and just a bit unsure about the bank account and do I have to ad one to ebay or paypal or not and how to do it as I cant use mine
