ATT U-VERSE is a cable modem built in router-help I need NEW IP
 

I have ATT U-VERSE I have read of two different ways to change my IP depending on whether I use a Modem directly hooked up to my computer or If I have a router I then need to some how change the router MAC# before resetting everything.

But what do I do when I router is built into the cable modem? In my case I am referring to ATT Universe.

If someone has a few minutes to walk me through(using skype or over phone) how to look up the Mac router# to change last few numbers. I am computer illiterate and I am not understanding what the Ebay stealth guide is talking about. iT GIVES GREAT STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS. But I do not know what some of it is. For instance - go to router start up page. thats the first instruction.. but it does not tell me where that is , what it is or how to find or go to the router start up page. seeing that that is the first step.. I could not do anything. Of course It maybe different with ATT U-verse altogether.

If I were you I wouldn't give out my email, and skype "openly" never know who'll contact you, could be a scam artist, etc.

I don't know anything about ATT U-Verse, but I do know these will give you new ip addresses:

Tethering
Dialup
Dongles

type in 192.168.1.1
