| fatalwanderer | 03-28-2011 06:04 PM | Ip for New Stealth Accounts What should i use to get new ip address or where could i get one for a new stealth account that i may buy from the forum?
Please help me out. |
| Imakemoney | 03-28-2011 07:19 PM | I think you need to read the stealth guide to understand how to be stealth.
As for the IP you should look into an internet service provider that provide a dynamic IP so it changes each time you restart OR you could go dial-up but obviously thats slower.
Try and avoid proxies if possible ebay dont tend to like them. |
| Alps_a somewhatlegend | 03-28-2011 07:39 PM | Hi. There are also a few other steps you need to do as well as change you ip.
Before you setup your new account/accounts, please make sure you are familiar with the 'procedures' or your time and money will be wasted as the new accounts will go down.
Its little things like clearing cookies etc.
If you are not too sure what do, then as the member above correctly states, I also think the book is a good option/investment for you.
Thanks |
| fatalwanderer | 03-29-2011 04:54 PM | dynamic ip wont work as i want more then 1 stealth account. i've read over the cookies and things, i know what to do its just the ip thing i need help with. I know some people use proxies and stuff and it works for them, but it all depends on what you are going to be selling on ebay. |
| Red X | 03-29-2011 05:10 PM | Search the forums, i have answered the same question twice this week. |
| lakeman | 03-29-2011 05:13 PM | Fatalwanderer, you got it backwards. You want to have a dynamic ip(which means it changes), static stays the same..
Do not use proxies, they do not work. |
| bootedbyebay | 03-30-2011 04:18 PM | What is a proxy?
I know that this might sound like a stupid question to some of you, but I am just now trying to figure this all out. |
| Imakemoney | 03-30-2011 05:08 PM | a proxy would be an IP which is hidden from ebay, however in the long term this is not neccessarily a good idea with ebay as they dont tend to like them. |
| catherinemcclanahan | 04-16-2011 09:05 AM | I don't know if I'm able to change my IP Address, because I have a wireless router and,I share my ISP Service with two other people who live with me in my home. |
| GreenBean | 04-16-2011 09:24 AM | @catherinemc'
Consider either tethering a cell phone or use a mobile card.
Depends on your 'specific' stealth plan: one account or more?
Give us an idea :pop2: |
| catherinemcclanahan | 04-16-2011 09:28 AM | IP Address I have Road Runner Cable Modem, and I would be concern that changing the ip address may effect the router box. |
| bchrist430 | 04-16-2011 03:32 PM | I had a stealth acct setup up cpu, with two user id's. both with different ip address.....when i went create a third user on cpu that was ok, but when i tried to create another ip address for that user it changed the second and third ip address to be the same. The first user is still ok..... what did i do wrong? |

:yar:
edit: need more info to be honest. So the second user account had the IP address changed to the same IP address of the third user account?
Not on purpose though.
:peace: |

| So how are you changing the IP, by changing the MAC address on the modem?
p.s. you should probably open up your own thread :mod:
