Exclamation Do you have to keep each IP the same when you log on?

Hi I just finished reading the stealth guide yet I was a bit confused on the part of IP addresses. It says to create a new user account in windows, then to change the mac address to create a new IP address and record that.

My questions are:

1. If you save the MAC and IP address you used, and everytime you logon to that user account, will the IP be the same? So in reality you can control your own IP if you control the MAC address?
2. When I login one user account and use eBay does it have to be the same IP each time? For example, if I registered the eBay account on my PC at home but want to use my laptop at college, will I be able to copy the MAC address to make the same IP I had at home? Or will it be different, and will eBay notice this?

I worded the questions as clearly as I could so I apologize for any confusion, thanks.

You use a different MAC address for each account to be assigned a different IP address.

No you could not get the same IP address when you are at college, that is a different network completely.

Make sure you know the difference between your WAN IP and LAN IP as well.

I am using a router behind the college network, does that make a difference? Or does it not matter?

Do not use your colleges internet connection, because users there could have been banned on ebay, and or amazon which will in return destroy your account sometime in the future.

WAN = Wide Area Network

LAN = Local Area Network
