Accidently Logged in to my Suspended A/c with new IP Hi,
I bought a new Dial Up Connection a few days ago, while checking the resolution I accidently connected my new Dial up connection and logged in into my old suspended account.
I checked the IP it always get a new IP when I connect.
How much should I worry now? |
These are the IPS generated after disconnecting and reconnecting my Dial Up connection. Code:
XXX.242.4.38
XXX.242.97.34
XXX.242.51.60
XXX.240.3.215
XXX.240.26.182 XXX is the first 3 digits which remained same all the time. |
| ShadyOne | 04-24-2011 03:22 PM | What are you saying?
You logged into your suspended account using an IP you have used with a stealth account.
OR
You logged into your suspended account using an IP that has not been used with any other accounts.

| Red X | 04-24-2011 03:24 PM | Always keep track of the ip addresses you use before signing into an ebay account. Write them down instead of saving them to your pc. Go to IPBurger | What is my IP Address? Find Your IP Address! which is Aspkin's website as well. Also, ip address isn't that big of a deal if you follow other important steps in the ebay guide, BUT ITS STILL A GOOD IDEA TO KEEP TRACK OF IP ADDRESSES BEFORE SIGNING ONTO THE ACCOUNT.
You should be fine for now, just don't let it happen again, and try to be more careful next time. |
| Red X | 04-24-2011 03:26 PM | Another thing, if you want to sign into old banned accounts, use a proxy instead, if you want a Free proxy contact me, and i'll give you one, just give me some time to send it to you. Thanks |

I have a Dial Up connection which changes to a new IP everytime. I was connected my Old connection but somehow got connected the new one. So I logged in with a NEW DIAL UP connection to my suspended account. This NEW DIAL UP connection is bought to use with new Stealth account.
BUT as \I can notice it changes the IP everytime I login. |
| ShadyOne | 04-24-2011 03:35 PM | ^^^ Then do what Red X said. |
| catherinemcclanahan | 04-25-2011 09:54 PM | I have Cable Modem. If I start this Stealth theirs no way its going to work. |
| unkown5454 | 04-26-2011 03:59 AM | Tons of people have cable modems. That does not stop anyone here. |
Depends if your cable modem has a dynamic IP from what I understand.
I am still using dial-up a bit and the IP changes have not affected me |
| unkown5454 | 04-26-2011 01:45 PM | If it's static, then change it...:D |
| RimmingTon | 04-28-2011 04:05 AM | You can log into your suspended accounts as often as you want using that dial-up connection, there will be 100's if not 1000's of account associated with all those IP ranges, and there's no way eBay will link any of them by using IP alone. |
| Apple on Head | 04-28-2011 05:11 AM | I've created a small excel spreadsheet and put it into my startup directory to log i.p. addresses, user i.d.'s and dates. Also set my homepage to my router's control panel and ipburger. Simple, when I want to change user I reset modem first, by the time I log off 1 user and open 2nd user the modem has reset, I take the new i.p. address from ipburger and enter into spreadsheet. Do a quick search in the xls to see if the ip has been used before, save xls and off you go - just a small extra step in logging in with different user i.d.'s and it works fine for me. |
