Modem change but still same IP: Why?

I changed modem, get a new IP address, but when I try ipburger.com it shows me the old IP address!!!
anyone here can help me and tell me why please? Thank you !!!!!!!

You must have a 'static IP' instead of a 'dynamic IP'. Phones your ISP to find out.

Hi, Thanks for your answer!
I contaced them, and they said the IP address they provide are all dynamic IP, MY GOD! the ipburger.com shows me my old IP address, and when I type "ipconfig", then shows me other one!!! which one is my real IP address??????????????????

And please let me ask one more question here.
I tried to change IP address many ways, turn off modem for less 2 hours and turn it on, it's failed! I tried to type "cmd" in run, then "iprelease", "iprenew", it's failed!! I tried change "prefrered DNS server", it's failed!!! then I bought "ebay stealth guide 3.0", follow it type 192.168.0.1 into internet browser, but I couldn't login!!! th user name and passwords are all on the modem, but just CAN NOT LOG IN!!! $#%^&*#%$@$%^*&^&*^* WHY?WHY?WHY?

:(

PLEASE HELP!!! DO I REALLY HAVE NO WAY TO GO?

Forget about using ipconfig. That shows all your local information. Use sites like IPBurger.com.

The one in the ipconfig is known as your local IP and the one on IPBurger is known as your WAN IP (internet).

BUT at least you now know that your IP is dynamic :D

To gain access to your router/modem, you can type your WAN IP into your browser and that should take you to your device settings. You need the admin passwords. They should be physically written on the device. Go check.

What modem are you using? Have you tried changing the MAC address?
