Since I have Cable modem I thought about giving DSL a try.

That is what I did and it works perfect. I was kicked off ebay and paypal and got mine to do a stealth account. works fine for it, its fast and way cheaper than cable. atleast in my area that is.

I am reviving a semi-old thread, but I was searching for info about IPs and DSL and I found this thread.

KingRay, from what I have found, DSL gives you a different IP address every time you power down your router, doesn't it? And I don't have to worry about changing the MAC address because eBay doesn't look at that, right? So I just power down, switch Windows user accounts, power up, check the IP with IPburger and I'm good to sign in to eBay and PP as long as the IP is different?

you have been given some great advice from the above forum members...

keep in mind you might have to make an adjustment to the "lease expiration" setting in the router to make it all work for quick ip changing...some routers default to a long time period and you have to set it to make it more applicable to changing back and forth quickly...
