| stig786 | 05-06-2011 11:01 PM | iPhone Tethering If I use my iphone to tether my laptop to the internet.
How do I get the ip address to remain the same, because after every session it changes. So it must raise a red flag to ebay.
Is their a way to control when it changes?
App used is MyWi 4.0
ps) I use a giffgaff pay as you go sim with ultd data; registered on ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and address. |
| Red X | 05-07-2011 10:42 AM | I don't know how to stop it from changing, but ip alone won't get you banned, as long as you follow the other steps correctly. |
| no_rat_race_for_me_thx | 05-07-2011 10:53 AM | i thought that the ip changing was a good thing? i thought that the ip changing was a good thing? no? |
| stig786 | 05-07-2011 12:05 PM | Yh its a good thing, and its a bad thing.
As a constantly changing IP, could cause a red falg for a long term stealtha ccount. |
| no_rat_race_for_me_thx | 05-07-2011 12:30 PM | ok, thx. i see. just making sure my stealth knowledge is up to par. |
| BiN4RY | 05-07-2011 12:31 PM | You simply can't stop the IP from changing, that's the problem with dynamic mobile networks. Dynamic IPs are perfectly normal, and it will NOT raise a red flag, assuming that you've never created any other stealth accounts from any of the IPs before, and followed the correct stealth procedures. |
| ShadyOne | 05-07-2011 01:03 PM | Exactly, it is unlikely that flags would be raised if your IP was constantly changing, dynamic IP changing daily is very common.
Maybe if the IP location drastically changes, even then if your are still using your normal computer, you should be OK. |

This is not correct. It will make no difference whether it changes all the time or not, as long as you're in the same country when it does. |
| Red X | 05-07-2011 07:33 PM | I would still recommend checking the ip address on www.ipburger.com before signing into each account, writing them down on a piece of paper that you can hold physically, instead of saving them to a computer, so that you will know which ip addresses you have used just incase you ever get banned.
IP Address alone won't get you banned, as long as you follow the other steps, but it's best to always be on the safe side. |
| First Edition | 05-07-2011 09:51 PM | I don't know what benefit writing them down will bring, as opposed to saving them in a spreadsheet. But yes, it's good advice to save them no matter what. |

| GreenBean | 05-07-2011 10:57 PM | Should be 2nd nature to log an IP for successful stealth work. :suspicious:
Spreadsheet, excel the efficient way to go :thumb:
