Using phone as a modem?

Hi i was wondering whether it is possible to use my phone internet subscription to connect to eBay and PP and has the Ip changing everytime i log in? If not I am going to buy a dongle but to use my phone it would be better (cheaper lol).

It depends what type of phone you have, and your service provider.

I just posted this on one of the other threads that this is being discussed on...

I have WM6.5/att/unlimited data plan

I tether all the time and I leave my phone connected and when I log off from one user and log on to another I receive a different ip every time. But I have to log off and log on and NOT switch users to get the new ip.

Hope this gives you some insight...
