Changing IP address on Mac Apple PLEASE HELP ME!
 

There has to be a way... I am getting so frustrated, no one ever replies to other threads with this question. There has to be a way. I need help!! I have everything else set up, all I need is to change my IP address and I called the local Apple store & they couldn't even help me! I know there are a few Apple users on here, PLEASE HELP ME. Thank You!!!!!!

I have a modem, dynamic IP and a router. Hope that helps with details....

Problem is OP most people here are PC based. The cost of mac software and hardware makes it uneconimical for most people.

I had mac when I was in publishing and loved it but IBM is much cheaper and more suited to my current needs.

I hope someone comes along and solves it for you

Ok well maybe you can answer me this.... I checked my IP address on my Mac up in the office. Went downstairs to use my husband's PC and his IP address is completely different. Am I ok to start using my stealth acct from his PC?

Damn..was searching threads because am in exactly the same situation with my mac..anyone know if OP found a resolution?

I have an Apple Mac Mini desktop computer. I paid approximately $600.00 for it and it is the most economical way to get into a Mac. It is small enough to sit on the corner of my desk and I use my old Dell desktop as a footrest! I am able to use my Samsung flat screen monitor, Dell keyboard and Microsoft wireless mouse. I can't afford a Mac laptop but the Mac Mini is a great option!

We have U-Verse internet with a static IP. I use my iPhone 4 to tether to my Mac Mini to get different IP addresses. I'm not sure if there is a way to change the MAC address on a Mac.

Please let me know if there is a better/different way to get changing IP addresses using a Mac Mini computer and AT&T U-Verse.

3rd post of yours asking pretty much the same question. it's no different than doing it on windows/linux/android/whatever. use a site like whatsmyip or ipburger to check IP, write it down. turn modem/router off, turn back on. go back to whatsmyip/ipburger and see if it's changed. oh, and if the IP you're talking about starts with 192.168.?.? then ignore it, that's the router's IP, which isn't something you need to worry about.
