Can I get the same IP with 2 different MAC addresses?
 

So here is a question - if I change the last two digits of my MAC address does that then mean that there are only certain IP addresses that can be assigned accordingly? Are there certain ranges that are only available to certain MAC addresses? If I change the last two digits to 6E from 6D - is is technically possible to get the same IP address for both MAC addresses?

The reason I ask is that every time I change my MAC address and then return to it later, be it 2 minutes or 2 hours, I get a different address. I never get the same address. I live in a f**k off massive city, so maybe that is why.

Is it possible, despite changing MAC, that I am going to get an IP from my f****d ebitch account and then get linked...?

Just curious cos I aint got a clue how all that works.

I am starting to keep a list of my IP's so I can try to keep some control over things. But, I will have a lot of different ip's linked to my plagued account from all the times my router has been restarted in the past. So it would be good to know if there is a chance that I am going to pick up one of my old cursed ip's or not.

Or will I be ok as long as I don't start logging into old ebuygumweareabunchof*******s accounts?

Just did some digging about this - as log as I have different user accounts Im safe, is that right?

even if you did get an ip that you had 3 months ago on a banned account,it doesn`t mean you are linked as the ip`s were months apart

now if you used the same ip address on two different accounts on the same day,that would probably link you

best thing is to keep a log as you mentioned and always change ip before you switch user/ebay/paypal accounts etc

you always use a different user account to keep cookies and flash objects separate
